To answer that question we first have to address how a window is normally put together. The process is a simple one, and usually features four sides of a frame that are mechanically fastened together to create the appearance of a window that you’re used to. But in the case of a fusion welded window frame, the process is a little bit different.
With a welded frame the four sides are once again assembled, but a heating plate is applied to the mitres (the 90-degree angles where the corners meet) and the corners are literally welded together to create a tight, permanent bond.
